Yuvraj Arora, senior vice president of marketing for Kellogg’s U.S. Snacks division, stated in a company press release that the chips taste “insanely accurate” and “like the real deal.” Last year, Pringles created an elaborate eight-course “Thanksgiving dinner” with chips flavored like turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, creamed corn, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, and pumpkin pie. These special edition chips were produced in extremely limited quantities and were not available in stores.

This year’s flavors were open to the public but had to be ordered online, launching at 11:59 PM on Tuesday and selling out in less than an hour. Pringles, which are available globally, are known for their unique flavors ranging from white chocolate peppermint to mozzarella sticks and marinara. Chips that mimic a Thanksgiving dinner seem less surprising for this snack brand, and the limited edition aspect has consumers eager to get their hands on them. However, given the scarcity, it appears that most consumers will have to stick with the traditional meal this Thanksgiving.

As healthier chocolates gain traction, brands like this one may continue to expand, provided consumers aren’t confused by a name that seems disconnected from candy.

Meanwhile, PepsiCo’s Mountain Dew is also introducing a seasonal flavor to grocery shelves. The new holiday flavor, dubbed “Merry Mash-Up,” is beginning to appear in stores nationwide. Mountain Dew enthusiasts were tipped off about this flavor after a Pepsi employee leaked a photo of the beverage on social media over the summer. So, what exactly is it? A company spokesperson informed Delish that it’s a robust Mountain Dew flavor infused with cranberry and pomegranate. While cranberry is a common ingredient in holiday sodas, pomegranate is a more unusual choice, suggesting that the resulting drink could deliver a tart punch.

Consumer reactions shared with Delish indicate a positive reception, with one individual praising the beverage giant for creating a flavor reminiscent of sweet and sour sauce with a hint of cinnamon. Mountain Dew has been venturing into new flavor territories, moving beyond its iconic bright green drink. Last year, they released a Holiday Brew flavor combining regular Mountain Dew with its cherry-flavored Code Red variety. While the concept of mixing festive colors in one bottle was novel, the taste did not resonate well with consumers. This year’s flavor prioritizes taste, potentially making Merry Mash-Up a standout holiday refreshment.
